Emirates Foundation – Volunteers AE

CHALLENGE

Volunteers AE is the biggest platform in the UAE that connects volunteers and organisations with opportunity for doing good in the community. The Volunteers AE platform is run by the Emirates foundation. With over 100 organisations and over a 100,000 volunteers, Volunteers AE needed to revamp and relaunch their mobile application with emphasis on user retention, virtual volunteering and building a volunteering community.

SOLUTION

Mobiiworld delivered iOS and Android Native Apps for Volunteers AE. The apps were redesigned from scratch by Mobiiworld, with a complete rethink on the User Interface (UI) and the User Experience (UX) considering the demographic data that was availed by Emirates Foundation. A data driven approach to the UX enabled us to identify the problem areas, the strengths of the platform which enabled us to develop a bespoke product.

• As a result of the data-based approach we were able to be more proactive in our solution approach. Gamification and badges usage helped to improve user retention.
• Integration with UAEPass and an MRZ document scanner enabled volunteers to sign up faster on the platform.
• Automated check in and check out based on a user's geolocation meant that the organiser admins’ workload was greatly improved.
